  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I need help identifying these 4CS to SSS adaptor parts , PLEASE.
I assume the big on which is threaded is the bottoming cone and that the SSSrebound nut screws into it ?
Please help me guess where the smaller part goes...
This kit is from tbt racing and came with no ibstructions.
Any help appreciated

not sure on those parts, they are very similar to the ones I designed and made initially, I don't like how the oring seals on the side, you get a better seal having it on the bottom so the oring gets clamped the tighter you do the adaptors up, this also prevents the adaptors turning when undoing them - if they turn you can spend a long time trying to get them apart as I found out.....
the long bit is the bottoming cup and the little bit with the pink oring should go in from the outside of the fork and be clamped in when you do up the SSS rebound adjuster. I'm hoping their bottoming cups have a small hole in them near the base otherwise they will be slow on rebound from bottoming situation. Mine had a 1.2mm hole for this. If they designed them right you should also be able to use your existing 4cs springs.

There should be some pics floating around here of the ones I made.

how much are they selling those for?

Hi Gary, the parts you have were designed and machined by me. I run the TBT racing Arizona in the US. The parts you received didn't come with instructions or any other parts because they really were not intended to be sold. It was a mistake by my counterpart to sell those. if you have any questions about them, feel free to pm me. Those parts were to be installed by TBT racing only. Sorry for the mix up.
