  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

hey all Bryon from BMP said he will do a run of anodized red case savers if we can get enough numbers. so anyone interested give him a yell or email. cost will be negligible for the anodizing-$60 for 1 part or 50. $35 for the saver itself. you know you want one:cool:
 
Mine showed up last Tuesday-silver, would look better in red. Don't know about buying another one just to get red.

so how does this work and what's the price? i will take one too but are the first 10 already spoken for?
 
nah don't think so mate just ring or email Bryon & get him to save(zzzing!) one for ya. price is $40 I think(normally $35 plus $5 for the bling factor). first one is definitely reserved for me though so keep ya filthy mitts off it you mob!:naughty:
 
Sent mine back to be done red, Byron said he has enough orders for the first batch in red. But they'll do more if needed. I bet from now on they only do red ones.:cheers: A victory for CafeHusky members

:) My issue is that I have a 2002 model which is yellow/black, and red would not be the right combination
also I would not know if the plate would fit as the frames did change a bit over the years so its also a bit of a ???? on that point
