• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Andrew DeLong Podiums again on his FAR Husqvarna

FAR Husqvarna

Husqvarna
AA Class
Husqvarna Race report: On the East Coast, the FAR Husqvarna team was in full race mode at the Snowshoe GNCC in Snowshoe, West Virginia. Andrew DeLong and his TC250 were on fire, yet again. The XC2-class whiz was in the hunt for another class win and overall podium, but while leading the XC2 charge and running third overall, DeLong made a mistake on an uphill just outside of the pits. The hang-up cost him the lead and dropped him back by 30 seconds. Ultimately, Andrew crossed the finish line second in the XC2 class, just shy of the leader and physically fifth overall. "I couldn't get rolling today," Andrew explained. "I started well, but my bike setup was just off a little. With so many rocks on the course I just tried to give it my all; unfortunately it wasn't enough and I had to settle for second. But for the next rocky round I know what we need to change on the bike." With just five rounds remaining, DeLong has moved to within two points of third overall, despite missing the first two events of the series. The FAR Husqvarna team returns to racing Sunday, July 8 in Millville, Ohio for the next round of the series. DeLong's FAR Husqvarna teammate Nick Davis suffered a DNF after running into some bad luck on the challenging Snowshoe course, but is looking forward to turning his luck around at the next round.12husq-DeLong-snowshoeL.jpg
