• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

And the crashing begins...

I guess I'll put my useless 2 cents in...He is in an elite class of racers...training ,pushing the limits constantly are what make the few racers elite ...MX is brutal,especially outdoor tracks where lines change constantly...you've got to stay focused,especially if you know your at or above your comfort zone(couldn't think of a better phrase),being physically and mentally prepared is a constant.I am not pointing my finger at him,but I "know" that man has had to have come across fans,etc. darting across the track in his racing career ...or coming up to let say a lapper who suddenly changes his line(flag man unaware or not positioned to do his job).It may have been a brain fart,only he knows.
I bash him all the time..my bad..I wish I could ride half that fast.Just saying,keep pushing and eventually you will find your limit and crash..it's evident he has a do or die attitude.Shit,at my age ,I crash just unloading my bike!!
Anyway,I know who crossed the track..it was Joe Gibbs.
 
He injured his wrist. No details have been provided as of yet. It didn't seem TOO bad from watching him, but who knows...?

I hope it's not bad and he's back on the bike soon. It's been great watching him ENJOY riding again. He really gels with the suzuki. He's looked so smooth, in good form, relaxed...
 
I don't think the dude walking the track was thew issue. He got cross rutted and lost it. That racing. dude is for sure not afraid to hang it out there and let the chips fall.
 
"Reality TV" is the issue. Now that he's put that behind him (hopefully forever), maybe he'll tighten that head on straight and get back to what brought him to the dance in the first place! All indications seem to suggest this outdoor season will result in his re-emergence. Keep him off cable TV and out of Toyota truck commercials and he'll be fine.
 
It is not a crime to fall when you are as fast as Stewart whether someone runs in front of you or not. I have not seen a rider that never crashes.

In fact to your point several mags had articles about what the heck is going on with everyone crashing themselves out this last year. Remeber Reed, VP, Windom and other are not even riding and Dungey is just getting his legs back.

I hope he races as well, because ticket sales always go up when Buba is at the track and he is a show of his own. It seems that James is taking credit for the crash and not putting the blame on "the other guy." Now that is a class act from JS. After watching the new vid, James and 15 other guys are lucky they missed him as well, as we could have lost more than one rider in this situation.
