• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AMA NEPG Nat'l Enduro Cajun Classic

Vinduro

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Who is going to Forest Hill , La this weekend for the Nat'l Enduro ? I am signed up in the 200A class. Riding a WR165. I am probably out of my league as I am 57yo. LOL. But I am feeling spunky since having both of my shoulders replaced. I like riding the long course also. I have no idea why they have the 50A class running short course. Look at the quality of riders there. Nationals are only about 65miles now. Very short. I remember when Nat'ls were 150 miles, 125 miles and 100 miles long. Of course we ran more dirt roads and some pavement and today it is about all trail. I am on row 8A.

Hey Vinduro, was planning on going, but need the points so the FTR HS is where I have to go. Will definitely go to Blain. Hope to see ya there. When I rode ECEA I remember some of those 150mi Nat'ls in South Jersey, just awesome.............

I thought about going and would like to but I don't have a spark arrestor. I added it all up and by the time I spent $149. for a Turbine Core + entry fees and AMA membership, Sera membership, transponder etc. it came out to $261. That's before gas and food too. I'll pass.:(

That is crazy. You are looking at it all wrong. It won't be the only event you ride in next year. You could ride many SERA events over the course of a year. If you don't start now you will never enjoy racing.

Good to hear your well and kicking after surgery :) ... Spunky? Still on MEDs? :0)

I've started racing with these guys... http://www.acadianaracing.com/laccseries/schedule.htm Show up, pay 45 bucks, race.

Plus living in the southwest corner of MS, these events end up being much closer overall then the SERA events. I would like to run some enduros at some point but once again that initial investment makes it hard to dip ones toes in the water.

Hey Dwight thanks for all your suspension tips by the way, the stiffer rear spring I recently installed made a huge difference.

Tough event after Saturday nights rain on top of the rain earlier in the week. I got 4th 200A . I'll take it. Now to get ready for the Tenn. Nat'l Enduro in 2 weeks.

Our local HOT Shoe Nate Ferderer was the second highest placing Husky at the Cajun classic!
8th in overall A
4th in 250A
