  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Aluminum throttle tube for 2013 TE310

Ok so I used it today for the race. I loved it! At first I had a really bad bog and adjusted some things before the race. Turning the fuel lever to the "on" position helped lol. Anyway, it got me into the upper revs like I wanted and the install was stupid easy as you'd expect. I didn't notice it being anymore twitchy but like I said, it was for the race. It felt like I was cheating and I'd actually like to test the quicker cam for it. I'll be testing it in tight woods on Friday and have a tighter race this Sunday so I'll report back with a full review. One issue that may or may not be a concern for you 310 guys, I seemed to break traction more often. Really a non issue for my 230 pound butt on a 250 though :)

Are you using the 50 cam?
You may already know but the quicker 25 cam requires some material to be removed from inside the throttle housing.
 
Yeah the 50 came with it. I was reading that it needed modified so I'm not going to do it just yet. I have some other mods for the bike that will get done first. I'm happy with it right now and not in any rush. Appreciate the heads up, something other people should know if they're looking into this
