    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Aluminum throttle tube for 2013 TE310

Anyone knows where can i get an aluminum one that fits 2013 TE310?
I found one in the UK, but price+shipping to the US is too expensive.
 
I've got a G2 on my 310. I've got the slower cam though. It really makes the bike more controllable at lower throttle. Not sure a quicker cam on an injected bike would be a good idea.

+1 on the G2 DirtTamer with #400 cam. Love mine too.

Assuming you've already re-flashed the ECU and swapped the stock rear sprocket for a 47T - 51T, I can't think of a better upgrade for less than $100 to improve your 310's off-road prowess.

I like the g2 quick turn on my 310 (50 cam), however, I did say to my mate after todays ride that it may be a disadvantage through tight woods. It was a little too easy to loft the front wheel out of turns... lots of fun but maybe not the smoothest (quickest?) way through the really tight stuff. That said, its still staying on :)

I think it depends on your riding style, if you like riding in upper rpm then try the quick turn. If not, then try the stock or tamer cams. The beauty of the G2 system is you can swap cams in a few minutes.

Isn't this always the way??

You guys in the States want Brit parts, but shipping's too expensive.
I'd love a G2 Dirt Tamer for my TE310R, but, again, shipping and taxes make it a very expensive option

I don't see a bearing at the end of the Moose unit. That's important for really smooth action. Is there one that I can't see?
 
Can't use handguards with the Jimmy Twister, as it plugs the bar end. The G2 has a delrin bearing between the inside of the tube and the bar. It's pretty smooth. Unless you are putting really heavy loads on the throttle tube, I don't see where the end bearing would come into play much.
 
Well I ordered the quick turn throttle and had it priority shipped so we'll see how it does. Also found a used shock spring for my fat arse :). So I'll be doing that during this project
