• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello again ladies and gents! I am happy to be the first to show you pictures of our nearly complete skid plate for the TR650. Can I just say how much we love this bike? If you don't believe us then you will surely see how much we love it reflected in the attention to our design in the skid plate.

THAT LOOKS AWESOME! Mine has been pre-ordered since last month. I am really hoping that these will be out soon for summer adventures. EXCELLENT WORK!!!

OK, really, it won't let me add it to the cart without selecting a color. When I select a color, the "add to cart" button disappears.

We forgot to check an option on the back end that would allow you to add this to cart, that is now fixed so if you would like to pre-order please do.

I can tell you that the rear mount fits up like a glove and it is bomber!
I will product some photos of the skid plate unmounted over the next couple of days. I cannot take it off of our bike right now because we are doing some testing and it needs to stay on sorry.

Sorry it will not come in red, haha!

I cannot tell you the price with shipping because that depends on where you are ordering from.

Hey Altrider, could you post a photo from down to see how oil plug is protected. I can see your images on flick.
THANKS A LOT. I have a lot of dudes, cause the SW system it seems to protect very well oil lines.

I can't help but pose the question of how long until these will actually be in buyers' hands?

When we all started pre-ordering the crash bars, the estimate was 4 weeks' lead time, but it's now been 5 weeks since I placed my pre-order, and no updates on expected shipping time whatsoever.

It's just part of the game when you guy a first generation bike. The companies that will bring products to production the fastest are the ones who are manufacturing in Asia.

If you want quality parts, you just have to wait a little, and especially when dealing with a smaller business. I'm patient. I'd rather wait a bit for a great product than take home a mediocre product today.

Waiting isn't a problem. Being told a time-frame and then getting no updates is. I've had lots of Altrider products, and I know they're absolutely top quality. I didn't say I don't want to wait--I simply asked how long, given the longer-than-stated delay on the crash bars.
