  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Unfortunately this is the price you pay for less weight and more power, the standard exhaust would have probably only scratched! My Leo Vince pipe will be the same as that's paper thin too.

One of the reasons I held out so long for the fmf pipe. I turned down a mint full akro system for a dinged up fmf 4.1 which is lighter and stronger. It will dent too, but has a slightly thicker oval shell.

I probably have a spare factory Akra 449/511 exhaust can hanging around, if you need one let me know and you can have it for what I have into it. I went the P3 route instead and am just going to live with the minor dents in mine.

what is in the can? can you do the old 2 stroke trick of filling it with water and tossing it in the freezer?

Drill out rivets, remove the end cap and guts, pop out dents from the inside, restuff innards and reseal and re-rivet with hi qual rivets.
go out and ride...and probably re-dent it. Everyone wants lite weight Ti trick stuff, that combo will never be crash/dent/even tip over dent resistant.
My TE310 has a TC250 Ti muffler on it and it too is a scratch and dent model from the previous owner + my add-ons as well. if I sell it we'll try to make it pretty, for now its an as is usable item.
about the freezer thing that worked perfectly on my Arrow Ti header from my TC450 pipe.

best answer, but least favorite, no-one wants to hear answer-just dont crash on it. (no offense just joking about it)

Mine too, dented from previous owner (Nick,Cory or Ty), I haven't smashed on it as of yet, knock on wood. Haha
Fasteer is actually selling his, so he needs those dents out for sure. ;)
