  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

akrapovic exhaust to a 2010 te250 what adjustments to do with pcv without auto tune

husky bom

Husqvarna
A Class
just thinking of fitting a after market exhaust to my 2010 te250 it has the std exhaust on it ..and was just after a bit of info on what a akrapovic will be like.. will this exhaust give me a bit of low end power??and clean up the bottom end power or will it give me top end know that it is a open exhaust not like the std one which has a baffel mid muffler........im chasing bottom end to mid torque/power

now i have a power commander v without auto tune...and what adjustments if any that i would have to do to my map..ie richer or leaner down low or will this just bolt up and be ok because the akrapovic is a open exhaust???

any info would be great

thanks

I'm not sure about the FMF for Husky, but I had to actually use a Dremel tool on my KTM's FMF because it fit so poorly (cut slits in end of pipe and wrapped with hose clamp). A friend had the exact same problem. It may have been unique to that model, but it certain has ended any desire to buy a FMF.

FMF is awesome!! We use it on our 2010 TC and TE's with great results...use the 4.1 plus power bomb header pipe...Only problem is that they are hard to get ;-(

Another member who has a 2010 txc also raves about the fmf. Said the dyno showed a 4+ hp increase.

yes it is good ...................but are you doing any efi changes ???........ie do you have to make it richer or leaner in the fuel efi settings or did you bolt it on and it worked well

Seems like you've said that about all the aftermarket exhaust systems you try that most of us can not get early on. Not trying to be an ass but.....

I dont know the answer to your question re adjustments but it seems that Kearneys bike doesnt run the auto tune sensor
and what your saying is many exhausts dont have the sensor receptacle
I dont know what they do to their bikes but it may be worth ringing PFG direct they can be helpful

yea mate spoke to the head tunning guy from the PFG husky race team about it and as we spoke he was tunning 2 of G K race bikes the end result it im putting my bike on the dyno and getting the power commander tuned to my bike he said this is the only way to get 100% out of it and said downloadind maps is a waist of time because every bike is not the same.........and as for auto tune he said that thay are not 100% for riding in the bush at race pace better for the race track were every lap is the same

thanks for the heads up
