• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AJP RP5 250 enduro bike for $4700 new.

These bikes are a little too heavy, IMO, but it has me re-thinking what I should be riding when I run hare scrambles.

They are a little down on power for wide open Hare Scrambles, but I think would work great in more of an Enduro type event.

These are not engineered to be race bikes guys, thats the point, they are engineered to be trail bikes for fun riding at lower cost to operate. a TTR Yam is not engineered to be a race thats the catagory of these AJP machines, and if you do a comparo in that category they are at the top in spec.

Just got some info from Moto AJP (the US distro). He says that there is a full Ti exhaust that adds some power and is lighter than the stock. There's also factory kit in the works for more HP. There is also the possibility for more upgrades. I like that the factory is actively advancing these bikes. A lithium battery might help on the weight a little too.

Only problem for me is that they are not approved for sale in California at this time. The distro says it's in the works, though.

One more thing, the ECU is factory locked. Don't know if there are piggybacks.

So is the one in my 449. Jd or PCV, if you've just gotta have the ponies. With a major name brand EFI, I'm sure it won't be hard to do.
