• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AJP Motos Portugal

2 year parts warranty and 6 months for labor. Awesome warranty. Trail rider magazine posted about these awhile back. Once the remaining red Husky's are gone these bikes are going to be a great deal :). I like that they're priced well but look like a full on race bike. Street and dirt have a habit of making "starter" bikes look fresh out of the early 90's. Thankfully the wr250r's came out and the ninja 250's got a makeover. I also like the real suspension, leaves room to upgrade as needed. Nice to see another bargain option for the US because the Japanese trail bikes are even to pricey for what they are

Portugal is the least rich nation in the union, keeps labor costs and overhead low. (my thoughts anyway)

These bikes address an issue that stop many from riding bikes .. That issue would be allowing your feet to touch the ground ... That's enough to get many people on any bike...

Low cost bike? There was a Schucks Auto DS(?) bike that sold in the states a few yrs back ... Not sure where it went but it sold ... Schucks even upped the price by $100 or so after a short time of selling them ... They were only like $800 if my memory is correct.

I remember when the first 3-wheelers hit the great state of AR in the 70s ... These devices enabled people who wanted the feel of open riding but were afraid of bike riding, ESP due to the feet on the ground issue. So lots and lots were sold.

even though portugal's productivity is decreasing since years, salaries are likely to increase.
the poorest country in the european union is latvia, bytheway.

I was just gonna say Portugal was my ~favorite country because I never read anything on them ... then this...Doubt it has little effect on the bikes being a success or not ..

Worries over the health of Portugal's biggest bank on Thursday raised fears that the country might run into financial trouble again — just weeks after emerging from a bailout — and trigger a flare-up in the market crisis Europe thought it had quelled.

I'll still count them as a favorite :) . Ferdinand Magellan still gets alot of play here, leaving that cross behind and all the other adventure he had here before going to Mactan Island.

I wonder if the bikes are built to last......anybody know?

You get to see a few AJPs here in the UK and they seem pretty robust like the XRs of old and are put together quiet well.
Did a ride around 10 months back and ended up having a chat and coffee with a AJP owner who bought it for his wife but ended up useing it himself more, He had nothing but praise for the thing but he was using it for some local green laneing and not racing it. On said day the conditions were awfull and if he had managed to get to where we stop for fuel and a coffee with the bike in one piece they must be pretty good as we were all having a hard time of it in places
KTM525- Husky510- Berg450 -2 gasgas 300s and I was on my 165 . I know nothing about the AJPs but thought this may help if you were thinking of buying one.
