• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AJP in the house...

What about getting and changing things like air/oil filters, brake pads, clutches, etc. BTW how was the clutch?

All stuff like that is in stock. I have a dealer care package already with all that. EZ. Clutch? Dunno. Worked great, zero issues. This one is cable actuated where the PR4 is hydro which is odd. Fells stiff when sitting. Did not even notice it when riding. Like I said, zero complaints from the motor/clutch/trans to my thrashing. I rode this hard and fast like I would any bike. This is not a play bike is it a great bike you can play on.

Changing air filter is stupid EZ. Pop the seat off with the quick release and one bolt. Sits on top of the frame and is super EZ to get to and you can see the seal all the way around. Brake all look like nissan copies to me. We are finding all sorts of stuff that crosses over. Clutch plates we will have to look into. Comes with a nice o-ring 520 chain that should last forever on this bike. Again, this bike is much higher quality that and budget bike it is advertised as. As good or better than most any bike out there.

SOLD! Great report and if it feels that good out there you know it's gonna feel even better here in VA :D. Now.....how to tell the wife the $8,500.00 bike I got really isn't what I wanted ! Thanks K.
That's the wronh way to tell her. Tell her you love the pumpkin so much that you would like to preserve it and pick up a cheaper bike with an amazing warranty for trail riding. You can also add that a rebuild on the ktm would be 50% of the cost of this bike :)

LOL she really doesn't care what I get or why I get it. Heck she even bought me a bike one time as a surprise and got the wrong one. I wanted an Aprilia RSV 1000 and she got the RSV 1000 Factory. She spent an additional 5K on it and was bummed because I couldn't take her for a ride on it, no passanger pegs :D. Hey maybe I'll remind her that she too has gotten me the wrong bike . Kelly How's the seat height, 30" inseam here?

Should fit you perfect. They did a great job with it ergonomically. Seems to work well for a wide range of people. 6-4 dude looked silly on it but liked it. 5-9 friend loved it and did not want his bike back... ever. :D

So hows it feel space wise compared to an xlite? I know you mention the rider heights and im 6'1. Just trying to gauge the size. Feel much better about the bike after seeing it next to other ones

Sounds like it is comparable in size to a CRF230 trail bike?

It seems almost full sized when sitting next to other bikes but sitting on it it feels slightly smaller and riding it it fells 2x smaller. Jumping off my much loved TE511 and onto this makes the 511 feel like a goldwing even though they look similar in size.
