• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone from the NYC area heading to Budds Creek April 10-12 for the AHRMA regional or North Carolina for the National May 1-3? I am solo, racing my 83 CR 250. I can drive my Yukon and tow a trailer. Can fit three bikes if I drive and bring my trailer.

Alright, raising the stakes... I've got good west Michigan craft brew to bring: Founders, Bells, Shorts...

I was planning on going to budds that weekend for the masters series which is run alongside. Im from philly area. Maybe see you there?

Maybe if you are able to stop off and get me for nc i can tag along, shouldnt be too far out of the way. Obviously pitch in for fuel and such.

I will be driving to NY on 3/30 for work. Will touch base by 4/1 and we can discuss a plan by PM/phone.

Sounds good. This week im looking at an 84 Honda cr500 looks completely mint! Would be my first vintage bike like that!

Ive had old bikes but never for moto racing.

I am building a 1985 KX500. Been working on it for over a year, had to track down some hard to find engine parts. It's my first open class MX bike. Plan to ride it at the Unadilla Rewind this year. A Honda will be much easier to find parts for. Good luck with the purchase.

Great race weekend at Budds! Enjoyed meeting fellow Husky riders "yzrider" Matt and John. Hope to see you guys again soon.

Was definitely an awesome day, results werent there for me but ill keep building and push harder in the gym and all. Great weather awesome people, insanely awesome track sunday.
