  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AHRMA Board of Trustees Election

AA Class
Greetings to my Husqvarna friends,

The AHRMA Board of Trustees elections are underway. I seek your vote and your voice. Change is needed, let's make AHRMA more fun for everyone.

The ballots and candidate statements are in the Current Issue of Vintage Views and here: http://www.ahrma.org/uncategorized/trustee-election-is-deadline-is-january-6/

All current members, please vote. Anyone interested in Vintage Motorcycle Racing I'd encourage you to join AHRMA. AHRMA offers vintage motorcycle competition of all types and are the only organization that has a National Vintage Series that goes to every area of the county. A great way to make new friends... Road trip!

Some of you know me as a "Husqvarna guy" or maybe know that I have a soft spot for old KX Kawasakis (that might be considered a character flaw here), from racing at the Undadilla Rewind, or maybe AHRMA NE Regionals. Others may know of my rules change proposals regarding front disk brake bikes being allowed in AHRMA's Ultima classes. (That fight will continue...)

I have been an advocate for reasonable rule changes that allow the regions and national series rules to align in a fair and equitable way. I will continue that cause and seek your opinions on how to make the racing more competitive, more inclusive, and more fun.

No reason to wait. VOTE as early as possible, don't let your ballot get lost in the Holiday shuffle!

Thank you for your consideration.
Best Regards,

Jason M Colon

my vote sent. Got to support the brotherhood.

All....this is a good guy and racer in many disciplines as well....he is one of us and for us....just sayin

Second that vote for Jason for you guys in the east. Great racer and person to vote for

Thank you for your support! Sorry I didn't get to see you at the races as much in 2016 as I did in 2015. Work changes had me in Michigan most of the time.

Jason doesn't have a problem bangin' bars or throwing dirt in your face! vote for him, he's what AHRMA needs! You've got my vote for sure.
