  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ah, My TE 250

I do like riding my TE. Some of my 2T buddies don't like it. One with a Gas Gas, 2013 300 2T, called it a beast. :censored: Well, he went over his handlebars in the morning during our ride and---sent it flying over his head and landed it behind him going up a nasty hill. He sure made it looked used for a 2013. He's a young guy and I want to see him ride like I do when he's over 50. He can have his GG 300. I've been on one before and it's like being on a stick of dynamite. Good for him and his acrobat bike. Whiskey throttle, full bore fool! :naughty: My TE won't power wheelie in 5 out of 6 gears, but I never had to duck to let it pass back over my head on a bad hill.:applause:

I have a TE 250 as well and love it.

But now I kind of want the new 310s just so I can get a bike that is closer to the 2t hyper power  They maybe dangerous but are helluva more fun to ride imo!!:censored:

I ride a 2009 TXC250 and love it too. Although going up big hills it needs a lot of clutching due to lack of power. Since I'm more of a lugger I would prefer more torque down low. A newer 310 is the ticket. Rode the new 2013 TXC310 and loved it! but I will save some coin and simple add an Athena 300 head kit instead.

Alot of younger riders start out on the larger bikes because the think they are cool well before they have learned throttle control. But the big bikes are a fun to ride as long as they don't stomp you into the dirt.

I'm at that point where I know I'll never go pro. With that being said, I want a TC 449 just to have some fun with. It's nice having that torque on tap. I'm such a bum lol

I would immagine that u'd add a 12 port injector too and a JD Tuner also. Someday, I may go that route, but not now-too many other things to deal with.
