• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Aftermarket rims wanted to suit Husky Supermoto

Twin Fields

Husqvarna
C Class
Can anyone tell me if there is an aftermarket rim that can be laced onto the standard OEM hubs from my 2008 Husky SM610.

I'm looking for a 5" rear and a 3.5" front to match, but don't really want to go to the expense of a full wheelset from the likes of Talon/Excel or any of the others, when the standard hubs are perfectly adequate for road use, but would like to run a 5" rear when using 160 width tyres to acheive a better tyre profile when lent over.

So does anyone know of a Manufacturer, (Excel, DID, Akront, Behr, Morad, SM Pro, WRP, SanRemo, Warp 9 or any others), Importer, Supplier, Wheel Builder or whoever, that can supply me a pair of rims to lace up to my Husky hubs here in the UK?

I went thru a lot of difficulty finding replacement rims for my SMR, but that's here in North America. I'd think the spoke hole pattern is more common in the EU.
Wish I could help.

You can get a husky hub laced to a Jap rim no worries.
I have had both a front and rear OEM hub laced to Excel rims I purchased from Motostrano.

Just find a decent wheel builder and they can do it no worries.

This is true, you'll just need custom spokes. Buchanan spokes cando that in the US, Not sure about UK though
