  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

any chance the 06 - 08 ims 3.4 gallon tank would fit on a 2012 wr125? wanting a little more capacity than the 2.9 gallon ims. thoughts, other options?

Yes my 2006 Husky TE 4 stroke IMS 3.4 tank will fit my 2006 CR 125 my 2008 CR 165 My 2008 WR 250 and my 2011 WR 300

I will trade you a IMS tank for your stock tank if you want

did they change the frame between 11 and 12???
just wondering,, ajaxauto said it fit his 11 300

Yes my 2006 Husky TE 4 stroke IMS 3.4 tank will fit my 2006 CR 125 my 2008 CR 165 My 2008 WR 250 and my 2011 WR 300

None of those bikes have the same frame as his 2012 WR125...

so they changed the frame between 11 and 12??

In 2009 (I think), the 125s went to a "new style" frame. The 250s and 300s never changed over, and had the "old style" frame until their demise this year.

2009 was the first year of the x lite frame for the 125 and is the same through 2014. All prior years iMS tanks will not
fit. 2006 through 2013 WR250 frames are the same. Prior years will not fit.

You are correct the newer 125 are different but the 250 and 300 are the old style sorry my old fame type gas tank will not fit

The IMS 2.9 tank for the newer frame is only 2.5 gallons. I just bought one and measured it with water from a graduated container. WTF? Stock WR125 is the same size... :banghead: Got the natural one so at least I can see through it. I talked with IMS and they made a mold change in 6/12 so if you have one without the 'provisions' for the TC fuel pump, you probably will have 2.9 gallons. Bummer.

damn, where did you order from? you saying they have fixed the mistake?
No. They permanently reduced the size by reworking the mold to work with the fuel pump issue out. If you can find an older tank with a marking of 6/12, or an earlier date, it will be 2.9 gal.
