  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

aftermarket exhaust for 310??

Huskybloke

Husqvarna
AA Class
just wondering what people are using for a performance exhaust on the TE 310 and what gains there getting ?

I have a 2011 TE 310 and I just drilled holes in the pipe. It was cheap to do and it really let's the bike breathe. Kidding. I would love to hear if someone really thought an aftermarket pipe was really worth buying. Thanks guys..

I have the Leo Vince on the 250 and it smoothed out the power and gave it a bit more on top - should be same pipe. Its also qieter and ligher than stock .. Also they are more reasonably priced than youd think

There are Akrapovic and Leo Vince full system header to muffler exhaust avaiable for 2010 TE/TXC 250 which will fit mechanically to the 2011 TE310, with the exception of rear heat shield. Anybody have tried to install one yet ?. How does it work ?. There is also a Leo Vince full system + ECU listed in the 2011 Husky special part catalog for 2011 TE 310. How good are they ?

CRD also has one listed on their website. Plus there's a couple choices in the special parts catalog ..and most include a new ECU.

I installed the FMF Q4 on the 2010 TE-250....might be the same part for a 310.....

2+ Lbs. lighter and a bit quieter, also USFS approved.

That would be incorrect, the 250 xlight has a different cylinder height then the new 11 xlight 310 which puts the header at a different bend and not 100% proper fitment if it will fit at all. I have not tried it myself, but have installed the full Akra on our 11 TE250 and comparing it to the TE310 we have sitting here I wouldn't be the first one to try it.

However Husky does offer a Meo replica Akra full system for the '11 310 that is mandrel bent and I'm sure an improvement over stock. The full Akra on the '11 TE250 made a HUGE difference to low-end pull and overall crisper performance everywhere.

So is anyone running a full exhaust on a xlite 310 that can comment on it?? I'm picking up a 2012 TXC when they get here and trying to decide whether I should have them just order the full Meo replica system or try something else (not much out there unfortunately). I would think the header pipe would make the biggest impact on performance

While I don't have a full system on mine. I' running a fmf q4 that was originally on my '10' te250. While I can't say it made the the bike run any better or faster. About the only thing I noticed was the exhaust tone was a bit different. Probably wasn't any quieter, just a different tone. The one thing I did get was a piece of mind that the bike meets noise requirements. This was after running the stock pipe with the small screen sparky installed.

I really wish I would have read the rest of the post before drilling those holes... :o
