Hey fellas just wanted to share how I got rid of my stock front fender and head light. I didn't totally dislike the stock stuff to justify the switch without a good reason so when a fall i had a few months ago left the stock headlight frame busted enough to warant a complete headlight I decided to go after market. I bought the Trail Tec H2 halogen light with husky plugs($109.00) and the husky graffic ($9.95). The front fender is for a TE 310 wich is a straight bolt up and perfect fit( I couldn't figure a way to use the stock fender without making the headlight tower over the bars). When I received the light I immediately fitted it and discovered I would need to tidy up the wires high and tight then make some brackets to move the lamp away a bit from the heat of the light housing "after I test road bike I could smell the wire harness was getting warm after 5 minutes".... Just finished installing today and I am very pleased with how well the light fits and appearance. Light seems very secure and should take an xtreme front/side impact like destroyed the stocker ..... Here some pics how I did it....
Looks great !
Built the brackets out of lexan, virtually indestructible . Can easily unplug light wich might come in handy with my none D.O.T. Version
Holds the brake and speedo cable in place very nicely unlike the stocker.
Zip tied bottom of light threw fender..... Light beam can be slightly tilted with zip tie adjustment...
If anyone interested in doing the same or simulare and would like some lexan brackets identical to mine or slightly different but same function hit me up with a PM.... Thanks for checking this out.
