  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Adjustable Clutch Perch for 2014 CR125?

Hey guys, anyone know what Adjustable Clutch Perches will fit the new Cr125's? I tried the works connection Elite Perch system i have always used on all my bikes after talking to Works Connection and them assuring it would work and it doesn't. Any info would be great, i have also used the ASV C6 set up but don't want to spend $135 if it wont fit.
Thanks

I know I had problems on mine with the asv lever.
I couldn't get the free play required and it slipped clutch

Yeah i was afraid of that, same thing with the works connection, almost seemed like the cable is to long, but for a fact the threaded cuplink that twists to adjust the play is 1/4'' shorter.

And beyond the adjustable cable, does the 125 have the adjustable throwout rod like the 250/300/360 does? An 8 or 10mm nut with a flat head screw in the middle at the center of the clutch?

When I changed to an ASV F4 setup on mine, I had to take adjustment at the throwout as the cable did not have enough range.

I havent found any purch that would work with stock cable except the stock one. Motion Pro can make you any cable you want. Just give them all the specs and it isnt expensive either.

I dont think it does. Clutches are so good in these things I dont even know for sure

The standard cable does have an in line adjuster in the middle . I had to wind it right out and then the clutch was pulling

So you can adjust the cable by adjusting the inline adjuster, the problem i ran into before is where the cable came out of housing was to long. I'll try tomorrow before i do my moto's and see if it works.
Thanks
