• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A3: CR22 rocks & Wildomar's favorite Son keeps moving up!

Man, what drama the main was Saturday night. Reed rocked the main (and hopefully shut the pundits up) for sure!

Two things:

1) Reed is far from finished.
2) Weston Peick is the shizzzie.

Great battles in the main and a lot of jockying for position, but what had me out of my seat was the 5th place finish of Wildomar, CA's Weston Peick! What an effort put in by the local Privateer. The kid is legit!

Ok, Husky USA, get that MX team together for Nationals. Put Peick on the 450 and Jerry Robins on the 250.

Still some OUTstanding racing this season. It's good to see some guys step it up & not have 1 or 2 riders check out. Hoping everyone stays healthy all the way to the Vegas final!!!

It was another unexpected event in the annuals of SX racing ... I've only saw the first half of the race but it was pretty cool again ... I'm really glad to see 2 of the young guys do well along with the X-champions ... ESP WP40 ... He's hanging it out, out there on the track...

I'll be glad to see the racing move off the west coast ...

I got nothing against CR22 ... But I'm not a fan of all the a$$ smooching he gets from the announcers ... He hasn't won a SX title in 5 yrs ..Myself, I just wanna see the race... The race is the show and I do not need any color guys pumping their agenda... I almost have to turn the volume down it get so irritating ... Sort of like the announcers for about any nfl game ...The announcers pick out 1-2 players of the 22 that are on the field on all plays and smooch them so bad, its distracting from the game.

Reed is looking real good .. Why because he is so solid. He doesn't get it out of shape hardly ever.
He may speak his mind a bit has been a big head in the past but he is proving a lot of people wrong.

I can only remember him having 2 crashes of any magnitude and both happened in the last couple of yrs I think ... Thats a lot of laps without falling over any ..

Also, I'm not counting the Stew crashes and took him out or that weak block-pass(?) he did on Stew a few yrs back or any of the other crashes he had with Stew only when they were both in their hay-days way back...

WP40!!! :notworthy: Like I said, I'm provincial. I'll be at the 'Q' Saturday night rooting for all of the local kids from T-Mec, Wild-Omar, Lake Elsinore, Murietta and Menifee/Sun City.

I dunno that CR22 gets alot of rump swabbing, I think it's more the press continues to count him out then acts amazed when he does so well. He's far from done.

Good luck on your rooting trip ...Sounds like a good time for you and a way to help those young guys have a better time also ...

CR22 has been around a quite a while and I don't remember any riders doing what he and Stew are accomplishing today ... Their talents are so high, even when it drops off some thru the yrs, these guys can still lay it down ... He is as big a drawing card as anyone on the track today really. The press has gotta luv him as he gives them an additional angle to take about each race...

He is a big enough gunn that he could and did stand up to the big factory race teams companies ... Not that it has not happened in the past, but I do not remember anyone else doing this either ... And the companies came back to him apparently .. His break with KAW in the recent past was probably not a good one.
