got a mates wr 400 twin shocker her 84 model. been tidying it up a bit, headstem bearings, cables, fork seals etc etc. to get the bike recreational registered we need headlight taillight and a brake operated light front or back brake doesn't matter.
under the tank was a big bundle of taped up wires..
ol mate delivered a ktm styled handlebar switch and headed of to the other side of the country to work...
im no guru with sparks but I worked out which wires were what, (what I thought was what) crimped and soldered some pull apart clips and today I fired her up and bugger me the headlight, hi low beam works, the horn works, the kill switch works and I cant test the brake light as the globe is rolling around inside the tailight but should be ok. I cant believe how easy it was...
I take 3 days to wire a 5 pin trailer plug!
