• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A little fun from down under......

nice video..wish we had events like that...or that many people that even liked older bikes

These events are brilliant, the Yass Vinduro had 80+ riders and a choice of easy or harder loops, the gully was on the more technical one, but nothing too difficult.

The next event was Canowindra which was almost washed out, six inches of rain leading up to the event, and more during the Saturday and Sunday meant the track was closed on Sunday with more rain forecast.
Probably a similar number of riders, maybe more.

Then there was Braidwood, the best Vinduro event I've done so far. 120 was the number being thrown around and no bloody rain!

Looking forward to the 2017 VTR calendar being finalised, the good news for me is that the majority will be held within a few hours drive, with a couple being about an hour and a half from home.
Tony Brown.

Mr Brown, don't muck about, you must attend the holy grail of Vinduro...until you have a Harrow medal, everything else is toy stuff...unfortunately, having a new modern bike (86 model), your out of the running  ...BUT! there is a twin shock wr frame for sale on gummy, you can just drop your 400 motor in and par excellence  . The best bike husky made is yours and you will be eligible to ride the premier event in aus ..the Harrow Vinduro....best get busy, 6 months to go!

I don't think pete looks very old???

Better still .... get over to the UK and do the Hot Trod 2 day time card vinduro. I think I put a video of it on here somewhere.
