  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st '95 to '99 plastics: DC reproducing them...

A Class
Just heard from DC plastics that they're working on the molds for the otherwise unobtainable '95 to '99 2 stroke plastics... said to be ready in a month or so.
No affiliation with them, but have used their plastics on a couple other bikes with decent results.

anyway... just thought i'd pass it along

Would be great if they do.
If i knew how hard it is to get plastic to my 99 wr im not sure i would have bought it, but i never tought plastic would be the hardest part to get to a dirt bike..

What exactly are they going to produce? I doubt all the parts are the same over that year span for both two cycle and four cycle. I like the shape of the front fender however it is prone to cracking at the stiffening ribs near the attachment points on the under side. Is this just a copy or improved?

2 stroke, 1995-1999.... WXC/WXE/CR/WR 125, 250 & 360. they are the same.
side panels and radiator shrouds.
DC already makes the rear fender. (they've already been making the 4T & pre '95 2T stuff for years, as well)

i'm guessing they'll be available just in white... and most if not all of their other plastics are vacuum formed vs injection molded, so possibly very close to OEM but not 100%

oh... the color thing. last i remember, they'll do whatever color you want by special request, too. forgot about that...

For the bike in my current avatar I broke one side panel early on picking the bike up in the snow, other than that it has been three front fenders. My 98wr125 (and all others I was told when I discovered) rear fender for some reason had to have some of the part to mount a plate on cut off to be saleable. DC website calls the white (drop down choice yz yellow) rear fender for 92-99 cr wxc tc and it is two parts riveted together. Strange thing is my origional rear fender is just as faded as the twice replaced front one.

great to hear! i have 2 sets of shrouds but would be nice to get rid of the faded neon green and do a swede blue yellow stripe like they had 92-94.

that's what I want to do with the '96 I picked up... swede blue/yellow to replace the faded & spray painted neon.
