As the title states I was hoping to replace the bushings in the rear shock were it mounts to the frame up top and linkage at the bottom, the reason being is there is noticeable slack and an audible clunk when the rear is completely unloaded. Upon removing the shock there was a good deal of play in both bushings so I figured it was time for some R&R.
They are both spherical ball-joint bushings that seem to be pressed into the shock body. There was no part number in the parts catalog supplied by Halls but I called them and they were able to supply what were thought to be the correct bushings. Unfortunately upon further inspection the bushings are in fact different and I can't figure out through cross-reference (part no. 8000 73547) what bushing I actually received. That is besides the point as I will call Hall's tomorrow and am confident they will be helpful.
Back to the question: are these bushings in fact serviceable? Anyone have experience with this particular rear shock? Thanks?
