• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone know where I can find a new/good exhaust pipe and gas tank for this model? 250 WRX
Radiators need straightening, anyone doing these?
Thanks, this is my latest project bike and I'm setting it up to race, not look at.

I have a spare exhaust for a 400 with minor denting if you can live with that. I work on the radiators with a wooden toothpick to take mashing out of the fins.

I also have a fuel tank that would work for you as well

Let me know what you want and we can work out a price.

I have a 250 WRX, but I believe that an 86 250 CR pipe fits.
Jimspac, can you send me some pics of the tank?
Anyone building new pipes for these?
Thanks guys.

dynoport will build you a pipe, ceramic coated or steel. top notch quality, they are the sectioned cone style. they have straight core and sparky silencers to match. they specialize in large volume pipes and they stinger diameter is often larger. their pipes are more of a performance part rather than a replacement part.

Is the 85 pipe the same as the 84(I know the mount is different)? But it the bend the same?

I've emailed dynoport several times regarding pipes. Never had any responses :(

if you are in the states i would try calling. i emailed them once before and got a quick response from owner..im think the 85 would be different enough to give you difficulty but im not positive. hva andy also has nice looking reproduction pipes.

Thanks for the info :)

I was after a pipe for the 1984 CR250. No one appears to makes one, not even Andy.

Plenty around for the 1984 WR400 project when the time comes :applause:

what's wrong with your tank?

Stained brown, like most, it's bad enough that I wont try painting it as it is saturated through the plastic.
I've painted my '84 plastic tank and it's held up for 4 years now, with gas in it, but is was not as bad to start with.

Just call them to have them make me one? It cannot be that easy. LOL

The tank I am selling has been painted but I would still seal the inside first . A 10 gallon kit from Caswell was $40 the last time I picked one up. You will use half for a 3.2 gallon Husky tank.
