  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I am hoping I can buy one from the USA or Europe or Canada. I did see the listing "Pit Replica" on Ebay and submitted a question this morning asking for some measurements. Haven't received a reply yet.

i have dealt with pit replica, they arent too bad. i have been running one of their covers on my 95 for awhile now and it seems pretty decent. he actually used mine for a pattern to start offering them. he held up his end of the bargain and sent me the first one he made as a gift for sending him my original cover.
hes only interested in reproducing original correct covers, but if you have something he doesnt sell on ebay, he may want to offer it. try to contact him and he may do the same deal for you as he did me.

That is certainly an option and may need to. Luckily I have a pretty good original cover available for a pattern, hopefully someone is already making the correct seat cover.

Yes, my 78 OR 390 has that. I would try calling Philip at Husqvarna-parts.com and see if he has them
even though not shown. He may know where to get it. Also, try Rick Horvat at 216-870-4121. Good luck!

Tian Chuan at Pit Replica in Thailand contacted me and asked for pictures of my original seat and offered to reproduce it and provide me a free one in return. So I took him up on his offer and my seat cover is now in route to Thailand. Since this 77 CR/78OR,WR cover is hard to find with the heat pressed pleated area maybe this will now give people another seat cover option.
