  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st 7602 racing Carb filter

Anthony_1978

Husqvarna
AA Class
i just fitted a 7602 racing Carb filter, re-routed the four carb vent lines and left the float overflow alone. i did it a bit differently to the instructions and re-routed to airbox, tucked it under the tank and easy
to access for carb filter cleaning.

You'll have problems with it routed like that. The two upper vent hoses a fine routed up into the airbox, but the bottom two need to be able to drain.

That's what the four hose set up is all about, allowing for proper draining.

thanks for that info:thumbsup:

but my mechanic said that should work fine.
ive ran 4 hoses to the airbox on all my bikes, and drain hose down no problem

There is usually 5 hoses hanging down. One of them goes straight into the bottom of the fuel bowl and is connected to a brass shaft that sits in the top of the bowl so when you tip the bike over fuel comes out, instead of flooding the carb and engine. You need this to point down.

The other 4 are actually 2 pairs of hoses that vent into the fuel bowl also. Each pair of hoses run off 1 t-piece on either side of the carb.

I Just have to make sure i clean the T6 filter, same as the air filter. being in the airbox it will be heaps easier to check the T6 filter
i'll test it out and let you know after a few rides.

True but take the carb out and lean it over and fuel comes out the bottom vents. with the bottom vents in the box the bowl can empty itself on your filter when you drop the bike
