  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc 7602 clutch cover problem

I have a 2014 wr300 and finally decided to put my 7602 racing clutch cover on. Well I can start off saying that it looks amazing on the bike. After Installed it I rode around and noticed a grinding noise every time I pulled my clutch in. I pulled the cover off and saw that the outter plate it's rubbing the clutch cover. I just want to see if anyone had to this issue. Thanks

Dang!

I bought one last year too. But, I haven't installed mine yet either. It's going on this week or weekend (hopefully) as I have a 5 day riding trip I'm taking next week. Once I have it installed, I'll start the bike up and check for noise. Haven't heard of that before.

Hopefully it doesn't do what mine did!! I'm starting to think it's a clutch adjustment issue but I don't know

Probably just grind a bit off the 7602, the stocker doesn't have a sight glass so there's not a problem in that area.

Yep, that seems like a fairly easy fix. Haven't put mine on either. Looks like we all bought them before they were gone and had them sitting on the shelf.

Maybe some tolerance difference with the sand cast pressure plate too. Will report back about how mine fits in that area in a few days.

Installed mine this weekend. Took it for a loop around the neighborhood... No grinding or clearance issues.

Hmmmm, that is the first I have seen or heard of this problem. Is it a stock clutch? Anything you might have changed or adjusted to make the clutch plate stick out more? If you do need to file down the area around the window to get clearance be very careful not to remove too much material. I'm sorry you're having problems.
