• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

'70's & '80s era Team Husky Helmets

A 30 year old picture
Not the best picture, but it's in color ;)

I found the picture here at "mxbikes.com"

In the 70's Husky helmets didn't have a lot of bling. Mikkola-Blue, Howerton-Yellow w/Number, Sun-Yellow w/Large Husqvarna symbol, Lackey-Blue w/ ISDT white skunk stripes, Carlquist-Blue. Just like the bikes and the riders; clean and all business.

Left coast,

here's a picture out of the 81 Husky Accessorys brochure, i can
honestly say i've never seen one though

I remember Husky started selling similiar ones again in early 2001?,
AGV made them 2 colors to pick from, Blue/Yellow & White/Yellow
if i remember right? They had the "H" like the old ones. I went to
order one but they were out of stock, never saw them since.

I'd say they'd bring a pretty penny if you could find one .

Later
John

Kinda unrelated but I have been getting some of my Husky stuff like decals and such thru the power equipment division. Friends of ours have the Western Auto store which sells Husky lawn, garden, chainsaws. Some of the decals on that equipment are very nice. I also bought the "forestry bag" for my riding gear, $70. Prices are a little cheaper when its work related instead of recreation. She is getting me a price on the nice blue/white Husqvarna carpet 5ftX8ft they have in the showroom. look alot better with my bike on it than a mower.

In case anyone is interested in that "Gunsite" logo on the helmet,
I have those in Yellow, Blue and White.
PM me.

I purchased this helmet size m for the grandson. His next bike maybe a husky boy.

I purchased the newer Husqvarna helmet xxl from eBay they are a tad tight. A little narrow. I took it the padding and installed a soccer ball and let it swell up a little.
