• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

70 degree 'Berg plastics?

Anyone got a lead on where to source cheap replacements? Mainly shrouds & rear fender/side plates section. Cheers

"Cyclebuy.com." Looks like they list all the factory plastics you are looking for it appears. You said "source cheap replacements" ? So if you were meaning an aftermarket replica set of plastics now I wouldn't know who has those. That might be a bit more difficult to locate ?

Cyclebuy.com still considered an Authorized "Husaberg" parts dealer, along with Husqvarna and KTM parts. So you can check there.

If I was ever going to buy a used dirt bike I would love to find a low hour 70 degree FE 570. They are cool. Nearly as obscure as my BMW G450X except the Husaberg is easier to get parts and plastics for.

I really like my FE570. Torque monster with good dirt manners and a wide ratio trans for connecting trails plus valves never move. Cyclebuy has been my go to source for parts and they are nice folks that get parts to you quickly. The only thing I have not found are decals for the plastics although you can get the shrouds with decals already applied.

Cyclebuy and AOMC are both good sources for factory plastic. The graphics are molded into the tank shrouds, but you can still get the factory graphics for the rear fenders, headlight surround and fork guards from KTM. They are pricey. The alternative is to have a bike graphics shop custom make you a set. Could most likely go that route for much less than factory graphics.

I love my FE570S and both of my FS570's. Sad to see the 70 degree motors go extinct.
