• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Wow. Much cheaper than I would have guessed. But I still think they should have given them an aluminum swing arm.

You go down that path and all of a sudden you have a 10K bike and still not light. It is what it is. Nothing wrong with steel, KTM has the one of the lightest frames and it is steel. Also can be repaired by anyone with a crappy welder if need be. I would like to see it too but on this bike it probably makes sense to stick to inexpensive and industrial.

They haven't announced a MSRP in Canada yet, I hope with our dollar being strong it is close to the US price! Great price for the bike in the US! For me this is a bike that competes with a KLR and looks like it could be much better. Alot of guys complain about the weight, but this bike should have a strong frame and handle the load it will be put under for adventure trips. This looks like a great bike and even better price from Husky.

These price numbers should be low enough that the dr and klr riders should really give these Huskies a very hard look before buying another of those bikes ...
Advertising is the next key to getting the word out on these cool bikes ...

And thanks for the info Bill!

Possible for you to keep them until the Bend Oregon riding event? Might answer a lot of questions, and you (and Husqvarna) might make some more sales.... :)

Bald is beautiful :D Thanks a ton for the GREAT service as usual Bill. This bike is going to be fun. Going to ride it tonight... cant wait til tomorrow. getting my shipping out for the day and riding into the night.
