• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

You started this thread in Coffee Talk where only I can see the thread, since I've no idea where to get them I will move this to the common topics area (I am assuming the same forks are used on 4st & 2st)..



To be honest I am not a fan of all caps spelling.
 
I have known Bushman for close to twenty years. His girlfriend crashed really hard wadded up the bike and snapped some of her bones too. He has had blown fork seal issues ever since the accident. His outer tubes are bent and hopefully all the internals are ok. He says his bushings don't have any unusual wear, however both outer legs do have a bend up top.

How hard would it to get just the outer tubes, since 06-09 are 50mm zokes. Would finding a front end off say a CRF be doable if the legs are the same length and the stem the same length?
 
Halls list the inner and outer tubes as follows:

8000B1710 FORK INNER TUBE RH $398.50
8000B1712 FORK OUTER TUBE $424.91

Not cheap, but if everything else is okay, buying two outer tubes is close to half the price of that set on ebay.
 
those sm forks are 45 mm and shorter.it is not too easy to bend forks.you are sure they are bent?hope your gf is ok.dan

Get in touch with Bill's Motorcycle Plus. They have bought some of the recalled 09 CR 125's that came with the 50 mm TC Zokes. They might have another set still. They were asking ~$750 for a set including triple tree. Don't know if they will still have a set or might be getting some more.
