• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hard to believe I have been here 5 years, or that I have owned my Terra for 5 years. I have enjoyed all you folks very much, even those who moved on to greener pastures.

While I may not post up alot anymore, I do still have my Terra, and a Strada which I purchased used. Both bike are fine machines.

This is my Terra 5 years later. I was out getting coffee at my favorite place. 120 mile round trip if I stick to the tar. Some of the best coffee in the souther part of Arizona.

Over the years other fixes and mods have been talked about and implemented. It sure is fun watching everybody customize their bikes. I want to thank all for this journey. Still a great community even though some old timers have moved on.

So when and where is the Husqvarna TR650 Rally/reunion?

Hey Dave. I recently put a 1.75" Kouba Link on my bike and it is a little too low now for my tastes. Are you interested in trading your 1" for my 1.75"?

I'm good thanks :) Somebody should want it though.

+1 . 5.5 years for me, since i bought my Terra, and this forum has been an invaluable resource to share good and bad news and improvements and fixes for the bike. Who know's where we'd all be without this shared knowledge and access to some very very clever people who have shared their experience and expertise.

Hi all, has anyone tried the TR650 Strada front mud guard on a terra, I much prefer the look and I think it would be more effective for Adventure/ Enduro trips.

Yes, it works. Just need some spacers to raise the fender a little bit so it clears the 21in tyre enough in muddy conditions. I used a couple of pieces of flat mild steel bar.

Yep 6 years for me . Still love the ol'gal.
Numerous additions that all would understand except its getting time to spend $ on suspension...
Have Power Commander and Autotune..Before the upgrade .My toys...Runs leanish on the tar and with a flip of the switch richer and cooler through the crap in the heat of Oz
Been to the middle of no where places.. I did ,after being exhausted one trip, just turn bike of by flipping the stand down and without knowing ran the battery flat (Mea Culpia Idiot!)..No hills no people ,no solar mats..Just me and my worries went to bed that night after 2 decent black russians..Necessity ..always packed first.
Anyhows the battery pack got things started in the morning..I kissed it and it has been my bestie ever since.
I am going to have this bike till either she or I stop......

I feel the same way, vodka. This is me test-riding MotoXotica's first Terra 650 in October 2012...

And this is me the day I picked mine up at MotoXotica on December 11, 2012. Look closely and you will see Coffee's 650 in the background. He picked his up on the same day. They are both in my garage right now, and I don't foresee selling them any time soon!

So is there going to be a 10 year re union or something? Maybe a Grand Canyon meet?

Wouldn't that be fun! Our 650's, 610's and WR's are still chugging along. I don't get to ride them as often as I would like these days due to some crazy life changes but that should be changing soon, and then it's back to full-time adventuring!

I'm ten years older, fatter and live on the east coast but I would try like hell to be there. I think one of the reasons I keep the Strada, which is the only bike I now own and probably my last, is because of the people on this site.

Going on ten years, if it's going to happen, planning needs to start.

My bike developed a for seal leak, I haven/t been riding it much since the Z900rs. Sitting does not do well for bikes.

10 years and my Strada is in need of some love. I don't ride it enough, both fork seals need to be replaced, the front left turn signal stem broke the last time I went for a ride and it needs an oil change and a good washing. The forks are coming off and going to the shop and I have a spare turn signal that I need to install. When I wash it I'll have to cover it due to the remodel at the house because of all the sawdust I generate in the garage. I think I have everything for an oil change I just need to do it.
