As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Definitely consider a nice modern frame and border, 'tis an artistic piece worth treasuring.Looking for some criticism/ feedback on this photo of me on my 449.
Some people love it, some people dont like it because it's blurry.
My brother took it and he's a professional photographer.
Me personally i love the photo.
Comments welcome.
I am a professional artist and photographer (I finance my whole family's dirt bike addiction with my earnings). I love the photo, it captures the power and speed, It makes me feel like I am right there riding along. On an emotional level it is great, really says WOW! you are having a good time on you bike. Yes, it is blurry, would be better technically if the bike and rider were in perfect sharp focus. The blurred background is fine. The lighting is good too. I would also crop it a bit. I have to agree with the previous comment on the pants, they are distracting. So as with all art, it really depends on what you are trying to say, if your goal was to capture the feeling of a nice ride, you did it.
This pic was taken by an ex-GF of mine ... It's me riding my '79 CR250 close to the Boundary 1 trail head of GPNF ...
Your pic looks good with the background all blurred and such with alot of speed showing due partly to the wheels off the ground ... Mine is probably lacking but still comes across well and costs probably 0 on a small digital camera ...
Preferred the first one ..Thanks for the comments, capturing the feeling of riding, and showing speed is what we were trying to do.
We went out for a day and took a heap of photos and that is one of my personal faves! even with the clown pants!!.
Here is another one of my favourites. With the clown pants not so distracting!!

Are you using Adobe Ps?
I literally just yesterday downloaded Ps Extended on 30 day trial from Adobe, as a first time user I definitely would recommend anyone working with photographic art having a play - I was very favourably impressed within 5 minutes! No, nothing is photoshopped, that's exactly how my brother took the photos
I might download it and have a play, thanks for the tip.I literally just yesterday downloaded Ps Extended on 30 day trial from Adobe, as a first time user I definitely would recommend anyone working with photographic art having a play - I was very favourably impressed within 5 minutes!

Thanks Paul, the second photo was taken on a down hill section of some pretty tight single track.you got the pants blurry on that one. Should get better responses.Looking at any riding pic is a way to pass time until the next ride. I like the blur.
