  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

449 adventure bike by Zip Ty racing

The tanks work together and I think the stock tank is right around 2.25-2.5. It should go for quite awhile :). The graphics really change the look a lot. It looks odd without them

ZT you make and awesome bike but that damn tank is such a teaser to us common folks. I have called IMS every two weeks since January on that tank and its ALWAYS the same story. If I had a complaint about my Huskee, it would that the production volumn is too small for the aftermarket guys to realy sink their teeth into it. Nice Job Tinken, thanks for supportting us limted resourse guys with your shop.

For all readers, remember or understand the initial R&D cost and mold production cost of just creating a mold for these tanks is a big investment $$ for IMS and other manufacturers, with our smaller run machines its just not very cost effective as say building a big tank for a YZ250. So again good on ZTR for "pushing" production.

So is the TR650 headlight assembly a direct bolt on/plug-n-play because that is what I am looking for....any other brackets needed?

After contacting IMS through their website, this is their reply:

This tank will be available in the near future. We should have an announcement on our website shortly. Should be just a matter of weeks at this point.

Thank you!

I heard a rumor that Zip Ty has the tank listed on their website. It's only a rumor though, you know how those silly things work...

Its there alright. Sold as a combo I see. Guessing its like the safari where the seat requires modification?
