• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

449-511 radiator braces now in stock.

I was busy with chores yesterday so I'll be installing here in a few. Guess I'll just do it without adding anything.

Thanks for the feedback.

Isolation mostly for reducing vibration. I know if the screws are tight, it shouldn't matter. Just thinking of options after reading of some of the reports of vibes.

I think the vibrations in question are coming from the front guard. I'd run it as is first and add insulation IF there are vibration noises.

By the way, for those of you sitting on the fence, I wouldn't wait too long to get these for your Italian bikes. If you ride gnar where falling is possible or doing any serious off road, you need em.

I hate to see it happen, but we are phasing out most of our Italian built husky products. What we have left in inventory will most likely be the last of what we offer for the Italian beauties. I have a soft spot for these bikes, but with all of them being discontinued, it just isn't do able to keep producing all the products we offer for these bikes.

So much for replacement parts then? :(

The more popular products like rad braces and disc guards we will likely keep making for another year or so at least. It's really the slow movers that we have no plans to maintain inventory.

Rad braces and guards for the 449/511 models are in stock again. Right now only the brushed aluminum is in stock. Red anodized in about 2 weeks. We made a smallish run of these this time since I'm not sure how long they will continue to sell. We will discontinue making these at some point though. That all depends on how they move. So if you're thinking you would like a set don't put it off too long.

I just ordered some from B&B, down under. I'm excited to see how they look in person. Nice to see companies still supporting our bikes. I'm planning to ride mine a lot longer.

I put the B&B on my bike with a "modified " radiator and I can tell you that there isn't a low of wiggle room for fitting. I was able to straighten mine to get a good fit. The guard served as a template for my corrections. I'm happy as it looks like a radiator and no longer like a banana.
