  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ty and I were going to add fuel injection to his cr125, just for that reason, maps...
True story. A friend that worked in a dealership that sells orange bikes told me of a girlfriend of a rider came in with a bike explaining that the bike wasnt running very well and they think it needs a new powerband and can they out one in. He said they looked at the bike and it was pretty much f***ed. Air filter completely clogged and buggered, no gearbox oil, piston and bore dusted. Everything..

Hey I'm a new TC449 owner. Stickies would be awesome, those muffler bearings are hard to find sometimes. Full proper break in procedures would be nice, maybe general maintenance or general issues to watch for. (yes i know how to Google (Google is how I do my job) but all you get are bits and pieces from here and there. All I have is what the dealer told me and I don't know if i trust him, he didn't know crap about the bike when selling it to me.
I just picked it up last weekend 2011 brand new from crate for 3999. Was it a good deal? did the 5 hour break in and replacing the oil now then putting 20 hrs on it and taking it back to the dealership for 250 dollar "essential" valve adjustments.

I'm a new jack also and have been researching a lot on this site. I bought my bike used and learning a lot here on this forum.

Mine have not moved in 4000 miles. And yes, 3999 is a SMOKING deal.

Essential in this case means he is sure that you will come back and leave more money. I think you should trust your instincts.

I have been a member on here for six months or so,,,(since about 2 days after buying my Husky) and I haven't found any information difficult to track down. I definately appreciate the volume of it!!! You guys have saved me hours of screwing around figuring it out for myself. Thanks!
