• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

430 LC V Force and manifold

RUF

Husqvarna
AA Class
I remember having seen recently some news regarding V Force intake and manifold for a 430 1987 which should work much better than the original.
But when I need something as always I dont find it....
Any help please ?
Thanks

I got mine from Huskydoggg last summer, they are the same.

No. They are not the same. The version that we sell for the Single Shock bikes is different and it comes matched to an appropriate manifold.

If you don't have one - there is not much point in having the other - unless you are prepared for a lot of work to get things to work right.

Also, if one of the reasons you are changing is that you are replacing the perished rubber reed block adaptor - just buying the reed assembly is not going to fix this.

Hope this helps!

No rejet, had them in 2 of my motors so far.

I took out boyesens in the 400 and tried the V force.
It has better low end and the power gain in the mid and top end was easy to feel.
The 400 was a bit rich before the swap and does feel better with the V force reeds.

In the 87 250 the low end grunt was off and i stalled the bike enduro riding way more than normal.
The midrange hit hard and pulled real hard up top and made it too pipey for the bush.
Would be a great power curve for a motocross.
