  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A short while ago my wr360 1995 stoped and had no spark so parked in shed.Today started to check it out why no spark. The screws holding the starter on had come loose and tore all wires out and damaged the magneto copper windings,so explains no spark. My problem is that 12.5hrs ago the bike had the stator replaced by a bike shop.Should this happen .Does this just happen to the older bikes 1995 or is it common.

I Had the same problem with my 98 model....thread is so fine on those little screws holding the stator..After rewinding mine twice I have now added a little loctite to keep them in tight!

So where is the best place to get it rewound.

You may find buying a second hand one on eBay cheaper than getting that one rewound... I am lucky enough to have a friend who had wire & the knowledge to pass on to me... Even then it took 2 goes to get it right!
Most bike shops will have someone they use, the last one I had done cost me $200 for a full rewind(approx 7 years ago)

Thanks I have e-mail a shop but have not received a response yet. I have been looking on ebay no luck yet. Thanks bundyrum68.

you could try rewinding it yourself but i would get the shop to do the job seems they caused the problem, if you can; tap and drill and put in better fasteners, i have a 2007 wr125 stator in the shed but maybe someone else (sir walter bean) would know if its viable or what else fits.

was going to try and fix it my self as have spent too many dollars on the bike. Thanks for the idea about the 125 stator have one in the shed. Will see how i go thanks jo360.

I think I may have the same problem,as my 95 360 has a very weak spark,so much so it will not start. My first question,is the flywheel nut on a left or right handed thread, also any idea of the size of flywheel puller i need.

The flywheel extractor i have is P/N 800060516,when use the extractor just remove the flywheel bolt have bike in gear with rear brake on.Once bolt removed screw extractor in then hold with ring spanner and screw in bolt with socket and flywheel will remove, hope you find stator in better condition the I did.Good luck sorry did not remember spanner sizes.

Cheers for the info bud,to undo the flywheel bolt,do u turn it anticlockwise or clockwise,as ill be using an air gun

No just use socket wrench pretty shore you turn it clock wise as doing it have bike on work stand so as you turn the back wheel will spin so just apply rear brake and will undo fly wheel bolt, mine was not to hard to get off.I was going to do it with a rattle gun to at first but it was not as hard as I expected.Good luck Tzedz hope it works out for you as my 360 will be in the shed for a couple of months now.

It's regular thread, righty tighty - lefty loosy, counter clockwise to loosen.... sorry if you already found out. the puller thread is 22mm x 1

Thanks mate do you know where I can buy a rear guard or radiator guards in the fluoro colours.
