  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I looking for input on 360 bikes I have 02 cr125/177. And a 02cr250. And was thinking about open class sized husky in newer frame project then wondering did they ever make 2000-04 from 360 or where 360 all wr . And what did they run like compared to a good running cr250 or jap 490 500 bike ?

a lil down on power compared to a true big open classer...but strong bottom/mid with a lil rush at the top. the 360 excels at working the bottom and mid as it pulls really well there. they were made 92-02...92-98 they had more of an all around power and 99-02 had more emphasis on grunt. most years had a heavy double wall pipe that was quiet and tough but really limited power. a good exhaust and proper adjustment of the powervalve will promote awesome torque.
its a pretty versatile motor, i like the handiness of the torque. its always there and never really falls off. no matter how slow you get bogged down it always seems to have the power to get you up a tough hill or trail and right back up to speed.
mines a 95. the motor fill fit into much newer chassis, and they all have true wr 6 speeds.

They made an mx version in '93 I believe. It had a 5 speed and the cr ignition. My guess is that it was violent. All the other years were WR versions with the heavy flywheel and 6 speed. I fitted mine into my 06 WR250 frame pretty easily. You do need the 360 head stays as they are different than the 99 and on 250's. The 360 has a much heavier crank and much larger/heavier piston so you lose some of the lighter feeling of the 250. If you want the modern frame get an 01 or preferably an 02 WR360 as that frame is essentially the same as the WR250/300 up until the end of the Italian Huskies. You can also make the 99-02 360's rip everywhere with some breathing and power valve and pipe mods.

My Bike flat out is scary lol 93 top end 02 bottom.
I have a spare 01 frame if your looking for one.
I still want to slam cr ignition on my 360, always need more acceleration.
