  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc 360 Ignition

2premo

Husqvarna
Pro Class
so still not certain what to do
my 1999 360 would not start and turns out it was the ignition
found a new one and replaced it, my 93 is getting weak now
so no NOS ignitions and i have searched
looking back i see others that have installed 250 ignitions, have not seen or heard of a problem
that said, my 87 250, 430 and 500 use the same ignition
is it possible that the part number between them is something not important
what is the actual difference

I have been looking for a 93-98 250 stator for a while. I have seen the 360 stators though. It is kind of driving me nuts since I have a 90-92 250 stator and a couple of 360 stators. I have been wondering what the difference is also. Maybe I should try the 360 stator in the 250.

interesting
you have 90-92, is it Motoplat? been wondering on that
you have multiple 360 stators, want to sell one?
where have you seen the 360 stators, I have looked

i had a 91 250 complete ignition. it was a motoplat mini 4 and the bolt pattern wasnt close to working on my 95

according to their site Halls has a unit 8000 75347
but no 8000 75344 for my 360
2 people here bragged they found theirs, funny but they beat me to them by hours
it was not their fault, just looking at the same time

The 250 ignition does work on the 360 at least the 98 250 husky did on my 02 360.
Had too see if it worked. It did so i sold the ignition and broke the 250.

kind of guessed it would fit, was there any oddities on the wiring
was the power affected, my guess is a SLIGHTLY different curve, but have no facts to prove it

No from memory the cdi had two numbers different but worked fine, i didnt notice any difference.
And all components plug in and work no issue.

Obviously same wr ignition could be the numbers were relating to the year or curve who can say.

the reason is that Halls has a 250 ignition but no 360's
probably gonna grab it

You trucking then big horn? Well if you want mine its still on my bike but will be swapping it out soon.
All i ask is a replacment head in return.
