    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

310 kit on 08 TE250?

Hello Scotty R - I'm new to Cafe Husky, but did post my scenario on Thumpertalk - "08 TE 250 with Husky 300 kit - problem solved". Essentially I got the kit through Husky instead of directly from Athena because I wanted to get the new ECU for the new mapping from Husky, which comes with the kit. Basically you get the 09 310 ECU. DON'T DO IT - go direct to Athena because as you'll read, the 09 310 ECU stinks. I ended up not using it and going back to my stock 08 250 ECU and installing a Power Commander and tinkering with the fuel map myself....it runs flawlessly now.

i saw your post at thumpertalk and right now im trying to confirmation from athena on the style of ECU they give. if i remember correctly somebody said the athena kit comes with a 2 wire add on ECU that gets added to the stock unit?

"The 290 kit for the 09 Husky's include a add on computer for the EFI system. It is not tunable outside of the presets, but has been tuned for the kit using both stock and aftermarket type exhausts.

One of the problems I had a year ago when I did the Husky kit (in addition to it running poorly) was the neutral light on my dash flashed on and off continually reguardless of gear position. The tech rep at Husk left me a message in June of 09 that "they were working on a fix for that" and that's the last I heard from them. I since took the new ECU off and put my original 08 250 ECU on it (so the dash functioned properly) and added a Power Commander to get the fuel mapping correct. Are you saying the dash works properly now too? If so, they must have corrected the problem, or your Ireland bike have different setups.
 
Sorry yes you are correct light problem still there, but I have race loom on and no dash as I just do compition sorry for sounding missleading, but mapped and running good..
