  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

310 exhaust compatibility?

Will the 13' 310r interchange with the 12' later black head? Or is the exhaust height different on the head.

The header mount is different type and size. The FMF slip ons are interchangeable, but the header pipe for a black head doesnt fit a redhead

Does it have the airhorn restriction removed? 'TXC' maps? cat insert pulled out?
There is an open pipe/Leo Vince map meant for performance pipes, but honestly that setup only gets you a couple HP after all the normal de-restriction is done.

There is another thread running as we speak on the de-restriction subject.

Yes mine is basicly de smogged and uncorked along with map 2. Tinken was saying they can get 449 power out of there 310r's mand I want that..... I'm down to an open pipe and remap, before opening the motor, which I don't want to do.

Yes, you can get a 310 up to stock 449 power.....but then it aint hard to get more out of the 449 either :-)

If youre looking to maximize power then apply the Leo map and at least a better breathing muffler. Under most conditions it will be competitive with 250 2 strokes and Open class bikes. You want more than that then take it to ZipTy. Weve won plenty of races with nothing special but the LV map and a full FMF system...but we won races with the stock TXC map and without the full FMF system too. My 511 runs stronger, but is a bit harder to ride in tight single track....but I dont like tight single track anyway.
