  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 3 Gallon tank for the 09 WR125...

looks like Tuesday of next week we are going to fab up an aluminum tank that goes under the stock tank. Hope to get over a gallon in there. We will see.

And by "an aluminum tank" you mean "a couple of aluminum tanks" right :D

You really need those extra fluids so you don't cramp up and lock up on those long rides. I really look forward to being able to carry extra high octane energy drinks on those long rides.

Status update on the water tanks?

Kelly,

Did you complete the water tank for the WR125? I'm curious how it turned out.

Thanks!

Guy building it has one excuse after another. Kind gave up but he called me and said he was working on it. Frustrating.

Around here trying to get anyone to do fab work this time of year is tough..... Thansgiving, deer hunting, Christmas coming, prepping snowmobiles, colds and flu and the list goes on!:busted:

Hello,
I have been following this thread and really interested to see if the 08 tank can be made to fit.. Was just checking to see if you had received the cracked tank and had time to see if the posts could be relocated to make it work? Thanks Jason

I hate to admit, I dropped the ball on my end. I was cleaning out my storage shed and saw the tank sitting there. I honestly thought it was sent out. It went to Kelly at the end of last week. My apologies.

I have a 2010 Wr125, it is 8,5l=2,25gallon

Pop one of these 5 lt. tanks on and go.... just make sure there is nothing hitting anything at full lock after fitting.

I now have well over 3 gals, dont affect handling or ergo's, siphons off first into main tank etc.... mine's been on two huskies so far. It's bomb proof, flat works and is CHEAP. I even traced the front plate off my WR onto some thin poly and cut out a nice mock front plate and velcroed it on to hide and protect it. (mine has those gnarly 80's euro colors on it...eeew).
This aux tank is one of the coolest things since sliced bread.

Problem solved.
