• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Oh ok. So I'm assuming Tomac will be on a 250 still? I was hoping to see him MX a 450 :)

Red Bull KTM's Ryan Dungey (MX1), GEICO Honda's Eli Tomac (MX2) and Honda Muscle Milk's Justin Barcia (Open) will represent the American team at next month's international event.

--
He rode a 4fitty in a couple races this yr ... Maybe he'll be at the MC on a 450 in a few months ... He should have success as a rookie but I can not see him doing much better or as ~good as JB51 did this yr as a rookie ... 450s are gonna be stacked even more in 014.

I think the Americans have a better chance this year as it is not a euro centric sand track this year like it has been in the last few. Barcia is fast in the loose stuff. Will be fun to watch. To bad RV cant make it that guy is a freaking machine right now. Laser focused and untouchable as of late. Tomac too. Very impressive guy he is.

Well, I think that Tomac has his head screwed on tighter and is much less erratic than Barcia, so expect he will do more, but he wont make the jump before he is ready. Barcia is fast, except when he is all over the place and then on the ground.... The new James Stewart as it were.

I think Barcai has been amazing and mixing it up his first year with the top guys. Also not doing the bambam thing. I really like him and think he has done good things with his first year in the big boy class.

He made me not want to stand too close to the fence at Washougal

What is the format?

One race or multiple Motos per 250/450

Open is possible 2-stroke?

format is 3 motos. each with combined displacements. 1st moto 250/450 2nd 250/open 3rd 450/open. Open is open to 250+cc 2 strokes and 450+cc 4 strokes I believe.

On September 29, 2013, the 2013 Motocross des Nations will take place in Germany. Last year there were 33 teams and there are 41 teams currently entered for 2013. Apart from the big guns (USA, Belgium, France, England and Germany), there are countries that are coming to the MXDN with no hope of making the "A" main (and maybe not the "B'main). They come out of the spirit of the sport, to represent their country. We tip our hats to the teams from Mongolia, Israel, Greece, Iceland, Romania, Lithuania, Thailand, Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Venezuela.

I saw an interview with DeCoster ...He said he liked the track and it fits the team well ... One day of practice is about all they will need to get ready ...

From Youthstream:

The 2013 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations returns to CBS Sports Network in the United States and Canada on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 3:00 PM, Eastern. CBS Sports Network will showcase the “Olympics of Motocross” with a full 3-hour show that will feature the event’s main races in their entirety.

When I check out the website it shows roadracing, but who knows? Check your local listing .....
http://www.cbssportsnetwork.com/

I know you can get it streaming on your computer from here but it isn't free:

US, Italy, Belgium and France are solid top tier competitition. Tough team list for me also includes Australia, Great Britain and Germany. Hats off to all the other teams for enduring the time travel and logistics to be at the show, I mean Mongolia is on the grid!
This will be a good one, and we will see what's in store for the new 2014 "MX3" MX300 2T class we should see some debut machines for show on display and maybe on the track as well?
