• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Took a little end of the year camp -n- ride. Met some friends up at an epic riding area. They were camping for 4 days and I needed to come home the third day after riding so instead of driving my truck all the way up there I rode my fantastic TE511 home Saturday evening so i could be home for my B-day party Sunday. My wife thought i was crazy, was actually fun. So basically I rode up in a buddies truck, rode 180 miles of technical single track for 3 days and rode my bike 78 miles home. FUN!!! Not many bikes I would even consider doing this but the TE511 did it perfectly, ran perfect all weekend, never had one issue, was always accommodating and fun to be on and was very EZ on gas. This is a fantastic do it all machine I am reminded of every time I take it out. Always a joy and GREAT mount to be on for about anything. TE250/310 would do this but suck on the 78 mile650 mph ride home. The new TR650 would be fantastic for the ride home but near impossible to do this trail system on and if you even could it would not be fun. Want a Ds bike that can ride the gnarliest single track and then ride home... TE449/511 baby.

Cool man!
We were up that way yesterday putting in some miles. After a month in dry ol' Cali it was like heaven being back in GP.

Glad you had a good time. Even if it was on one of the worst MX bikes ever :busted:
Cause only MX matters, ya know!

Sorry i did not let you know i was up there. Rode with Blakes buddy Travis Saturday. So many people / riders to keep track of.

See you this weekend at Washougal right?

Oh yeah, I'll be @ Washougal Sunday. It's gonna be a stupid amount of fun!

No biggie dude. Travis mentioned something about a camping trip with you, but I wasn't sure about the details.
I didn't even know I was going until Saturday, so it was a unexpected treat. Did 74 miles on the small bores. Totally awesome day and I am one sore pup today.

I've got a concert Saturday night, so no camping for me. I might be able to hit Sat. practice though.
I'll touch base with you later this week.

Sounds like a cool way to spent 3 days ... And on the 3rd day, some easy miles coming home ... What rubber we you riding on for the trip?

My favorite do it all DS setup.

15-50

note - just changed out the CS sprocket for the first time. Was EZ and allowed me to easily inspect and re-grease the swing arm bearings. I like this CTS setup.
