    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

2500$ off all new huskys ?

Well I have two huskies, one I got last August....and one last week....didnt pay retail for the one I got in August either. My thought process was wow, I can buy a new fuel inj bike that is a 450 for 5500 bucks? Ok ill take it! Also not mad that I bought before the rebates....paid over two grand less then a KTM 300, and I love my WR, wouldn't even consider selling it! No one should be all that concerned about resale when buying a new bike, the values drop through the floor, no matter what brand. Even before the rebates I watched a new TC250 go on eBay for 3750, it was a one year hold over but a brand new bike. Also saw a hold over tc449 go for around 5k, so I truly doubt the resale will be damaged all that much. Go ride and have fun!
 
Most of the time advertised deals like that do not include things such as freight and setup. Real world numbers for the few that are around are $4,200 to $4,400 for the 125 model.
 
I want some and im going looking tomorrow. I need a dual sport and a Two-stroke, Or a plated 2s and maybe even a BMW G450X if I can find one for my brother to match his car.
 
Called a Local dealer yesterday about a TXC310. He quoted a price of $7999. I asked about the $2500 off and he said that was a myth. Huh???? Why are some dealers letting 310's go for $4995? I would have paid $5400 to not hassle with shipping. Whats the truth on this $2500 deal?

Not all dealers are involved in the program and some will not deal.
 
Only the small amount of bikes that were left in the wharehouse were discounted and that supply went fast and it was a one for one price protection so ALOT of dealers didnt get any discount on a majority of bikes in thier stock.And TXc and Tc models it looks like are done for 2013,only a limited number of TEs coming in still.Thats why each dealer just does what he can do on prices.

I found that shipping is not a hassel. I bought my WR250 from Bills and picked up the crate at the nearest Yellow freight outlet. The cost was about $200. I could have got it delivered to my driveway for about another $100 but it was only about 40 miles away and they loaded it in my pick-up for me. BTW that was from Bills to Tulsa OK, WY is a lot closer so shipping might be cheaper.
 
Ok found lots of bikes....I think I decided on a 449 TE as a dual sport.....I really wanted a 310 but the starter issue in the pinned thread ruined that idea for me. Any fixes for that yet?? Lots of 310's out there for like $5900. Anyway I found a 2012 Te449 for $5990. About to pull the trigger on that.
Also found a low milage BMW G450X for $5000 for the brother,so just working out logistics at the moment,the husky is in Florida and the BMW in MO.
 
Before you pull the trigger on a TE449 you should know that the dealers are installing a new starter gear and flywheel gear on the 2013 TE310R under warranty. This should resolve the starter issue.
 
I would so love a battery less efi '13 TE 310. Anyone of you that have the $ to buy one and can find one do it and give the throttle a good twist for the rest of us. I sure hope SP/KTM keeps the x-lite(s) alive. :notworthy:
 
Is there any difference between the 2012 and 2013 TE310----I found a 12 with all the updates ECU,12 hole injectors,full akro exhaust,gps,steering damper new for the same price as a new in the crate 2013 TE310 about $6500. Decisions,decisions....

Battery less efi on the 2013 is the standout difference between the models. That is what you want! A dead battery can leave you stranded with an unprimed fuel pump on the earlier models, regardless of the kick starter.

So your saying the 2013 TE310 will start and run on a dead battery. If so that is a big.
