    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

250 motor what yr?

Hello everyone I bought a bunch of husky parts awhile ago and i got a complete 250 motor with no #badge it has solid rubber tubes thru all 4 corners down thru the fins i assume its a wr.The cylinder
bolt pattern is4.5"on the diagonal and 3"front to back with a 1 3/4" exhaust flange. I also got another 250 jug and head, its bolt pattern is 4 1/4" diagonal and 2 1/4" front to back w/a 1 3/4" exhaust flange. I have a 77cr250 it has a 2" exhaust flange.I see on ebay someone is selling a 78 250 jug w/the rubber tubes down thru the fins is mine a 78? did the wr have a smaller exhaust than the cr? I thank you all in advance for your help.
 
Do the engine cases look like the 1977 250CR you have or is the left case round and has a right side shift lever? Pictures would help as you have not really provided a good desription of it
 
It didn't have a clutch side cover but i had extra 76" 77" side covers and they fit fine its definitely a
76 or newer i'll try to get some pics posted

The one on the rite is the one that came on the motor the bolt pattern is bigger and the sleave is taller ports seem to be the same
